Roof Survey of Church Spire
Church roof spires are among the most delicate and hard-to-reach architectural elements. Traditional inspection methods often involve considerable risk and cost due to the need for scaffolding or other large-scale equipment to access the structure. Not only do these methods take time to set up, but they also present safety hazards for workers operating at significant heights. Additionally, scaffolding can cause disruptions to church activities, further complicating the inspection process.
Recognizing the need for a more efficient solution, the church’s building committee approached us to perform a drone survey of the spire to assess its structural integrity and identify any repairs needed.
Using our advanced DJI Enterprise drones equipped with high-resolution cameras, we were able to capture detailed imagery of the entire church spire—right down to the smallest architectural features. The drones provided us with a full 360-degree view of the structure, allowing us to inspect areas that would have been difficult to reach, even with scaffolding.
The drones we used are equipped with powerful zoom capabilities and thermal sensors, allowing us to capture every crack, joint, and weathered surface in astonishing clarity. By combining high-resolution photography with real-time data collection, we produced a comprehensive visual record that enabled our team of surveyors to conduct a thorough assessment of the spire without the need for any physical contact.
